Keep me logged in. I need help! I just removed my stock 3. I have the tweeters mounted on my doors. These TN45 tweets and polykev focal xovers are supposed to be very high end, I spent good money on them.
I installed them last weekend and have been trying to adjust them. I have a p1r headunit and a a4 amp pushing the component through passive xovers.
For some reason I am getting muddy highs, I mean the highs would sound decently crips with it's only one girl singing, but when she sings really high or when there are multiple high sounds at once -- my mids seem to drop quality and send out muddy highs. From experience, my 3. Is there a way I can make my focal tn45 sound at least as good as my cheap 3.
My dex-p1r headunit has a 13 band equalizer built in, but I don't get much improvement lowering or higher the db's on my highs. Any suggestions and advice would be highly appriciated! Thanks David e-mail me at davidnguyen yahoo. Quote 0 0 0. Rybaudio Senior Member 3, posts Share.
Perhaps reducing the output of the tweets would help. Adjust the tweet level on the crossover and see if it will help. How would I adjust the tweeter output on my crossover? I have it at 0db, would changing it make a difference? Quote :. They are actually the same, just stated different. There are passive crossovers that label it like this.
I think it is one of the stupidest things in car audio, it makes no sense. Insert Cancel. Failed filename Unsupported photo file type. Please upload the file as a post attachment instead.
